The Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos
Nigeria. It was designed by the influence of the
great African culture, a sober and humble
architecture but also with a high degree of
beautifulness. This is a result of combining
functionality and aesthetics, required for an
international airport to operate.

Sysmmetry, rhythm and the equilibrium of volume
metrics are key concepts to conceive this design,
where curves mesh with rigidity of straight
lines. This concept allows a contrast of
geometric shapes set by the fundamentals of
composition.
GEOMETRY

Wood and steel pieces making the counter, act
like a solid structure when joint by a special
fixing system, where the load is carefully
distributed, until reaching the floor.
STRUCTURE

The project was developed following a strategic
modulation of easy assembling, giving special
treat to proportion and functionality of the
elements involved. This way, personnel as well as
users might enjoy these facilities in order to
their satisfy their needs.
MODULATION

Material used for this design MDF Wood, cedar,
formica/Polyvinyl covers and plywood in blue and
silver. MDF Wood, cedar, Formica/Polyvivyl covers
and plywood in mocca and silver (stainless
steel). All accesories like handlings, supports
and front panels must go in hard stainless steel.
Naturality good finish of the counter.
