Title: St. Elizabeth Pre School Sunday School
1St. Elizabeth Pre School Sunday School
- Three, Four, and Five Year old Program
2St. Elizabeth Pre School Sunday School
- Our program is designed to teach the young child
about God. We use may tools to teach the child
about God and the life of his son Jesus. The
three year olds learn through story time and
doing crafts. The four year olds go a little
further in learning about God, by this time they
should be learning the Our Father. The five year
olds go into the teachings of the bible. They
learn about Creation, Noah's Ark, Jonah and the
whale, Adam and Eve, etc. By the time we are done
they should know the Hail Mary, the Our Father,
Grace before meals and they should be able to
tell you about God in there own words.

5St. Elizabeth Pre School Sunday School History
- Hi!
- My name is Karen Ann Donovan and I am the
director for the Pre School Sunday School program
here at St. Elizabeth. - Our program was in effect 12 years before I
started to teach. - I have been with the program for 11 years and
have been running the program for 9 years. - Since I have been with the program I try to
improve it a little each year making small
changes here and there. - We try to make it easy for parents of young ones
to go to church and enjoy the service while their
child is also learning about God. - I teach the five year old class. When the
children come to the five year old class we try
really hard to cover stories from the bible
starting with Creation, moving to Adam and Eve,
Jonah and the whale, Noahs Ark just to name a
few.
6St. Elizabeth Pre School Sunday SchoolThree and
Four year old teachers.
- In our Three year old class room we have Mrs.
Stephanie Brown who joined us in 2004-2005. She
works with the children with stories, craft time,
and Snack time, which seems to be the favorite
time of the children. They try to learn the Our
Father but I believe they listen to it more. - Mrs. Jeannie Markiewicz came to us as a Hall
Monitor in 2003-2004. When we lost our 4 year
old teachers who had been with us several years,
Jeannie decided to take the class. Jeannie works
with the children learning the different parts
of the church family and how God is with us in
everything. The four year olds learn the Our
Father and should be able to recite it by
themselves.
7St. Elizabeth Pre School Sunday SchoolFive year
old class
- We do a special project at Christmas time.
- This is a surprise for you the parent and you
will be able to find out at our last class when
we have our Christmas party. - Please do not ask the children what we are doing,
you will spoil your surprise. - I look forward to working with everyone this
year. See you on the first Sunday in October.
Five year olds in this part of the program will
learn in many different ways. One thing I
always have to warn the parents about is that I
give homework. This allows the parent and the
child to learn together about God and to spend
time making sure the work is done. I will also
send home a folder with work that we have done
and with work to be done. This should be with
your child every week.
Gods bless Mrs. Donovan
8Let the Children come unto me said Jesus.
- As Jesus said,
- Let the Children come unto me.
- Jesus saw the children as special
- As we do here at St. Elizabeth Pre School
Sunday School. - Each child may need something extra in that
hour they are with us. - Please let us know if your child has an allergy,
or if we need to sit the child up front so they
can hear easier, or if there is a special need we
need to look after. We want to make the child
feel at home and with your help we can.
