• Ribosomes tiny non-membrane bound structures
  that synthesize proteins.
• Proteins composed of long chains of amino acids
  , makes up 75 of a cells dry weight.

• Proteins are involved in
• (1) Structure acts like scaffolding , gives the
  cell strength support.
• (2) Hormones proteins created in one cell and
  transported to other cells. Ex. Insulin
• (3) Enzymes proteins that help to speed up
  chemical reactions (catalyst) that are very slow
  or less likely to happen.
