18Mounds Park Academy Middle School Technology Use
Agreement  At Mounds Park Academy, we believe
that technology is a vital tool communicating who
we are, what we value, and how we represent our
family, school, and community. Because our
technology choices affect our selves and others
and because the use of MPA technology is a
privilege not a right, there will be consequences
for in-and-out-of-school violations of this
agreement. While we understand that any of us can
make a mistake, we believe that living according
to these values is critically important. I
recognize that the following misuses of
technology are in direct contradiction to our
Mounds Park Academy values of respect and
integrity and violate our school policiesÂ
Stealing someones password and identity
Spreading gossip, insults, or other unkindness
Making or forwarding sexually suggestive
photographs Sending viruses Creating or
participating in insulting websites, blogs,
Wikis, etc. Accessing any website with the
purpose of creating, viewing, or participating
in the humiliation of others Retrieving
material which is obscene, profane, violent,
discriminatory or depicts or describes illegal
activities Plagiarizing/representing the work
of others as my own Manipulating technology to
cheat Damaging MPA hardware or software,
deleting school files or those belonging to other
students, using unauthorized software, or making
modifications to system files determined to be
Damage to School Property. Accessing social
networking sites while at MPA Using any MPA
technology without prior teacher approval
Utilizing technology in other inappropriate
ways I have read and understand the terms and
conditions of this Technology Agreement. I agree
to abide by them.

26Response-ability
27When tempted to direct, ask yourself two
questions1. Will the world come to an
irrevocable halt if I dont step in and
direct?2. Is there any possible way that this
human being will ever have to plan anything for
him/herself at sometime in the future?
28You dont need to be protected from failure
unless you are in danger of becoming one.
