As you come in
  • Log on to your computers
  • Click on Start gt All Programs gt ICT
  • Click on Macromedia Dreamweaver
  • Get Website Planning Sheet out of file and place
    on desk along with student planner

This will list all the files in your folder when
we set it up
Properties - you can alter the properties of an
object from here, e.g. font style, colour, etc.

Go to the Site menu and click on New Site

Enter in the name of your theme park in this box
then click the Next button

Make sure the No option is selected
and click the Next button again!

Make sure the first option is selected
then click on the folder icon

Navigate to your Web Publishing folder (you
created during your induction lesson). It
should be in your Y8 ICT folder.
then click on the Select button

Use the dropdown menu to select the None option.

Click on the Done button to complete setup.

Tables in DreamWeaver
  • Tables help you to layout your webpages
  • There are other methods such as layers and
    frames, but tables are sufficient and simple

Starting your first page
  • Insert a table with 10 rows and 10 columns
  • Use Merge Cells to make the table look like your
    paper design
  • Start typing in the cells to begin the web page

Saving your webpage
  • Web pages are stored in HTML format
  • HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language
  • The first webpage on a website is usually called
    index.htm
  • Save your page now!
