As you come in

• Log on to your computers
• Click on Start gt All Programs gt ICT
• Click on Macromedia Dreamweaver and open your
  site you created last lesson
• Get Website Planning Sheet out of file and place
  on desk along with student planner

Objectives

• To be able to link pages together in your web
  site
• To be able to use text, flash buttons and
  hotspots as links

Linking pages

• Links can take many forms
• Have a look at these examples
• BBC text links
• Apple flash buttons
• Chessington hotspots
• All the links take you to another pages
• Some in the same window, some in a new window
• General rule if its a link to a page on your
  site, link in the same window

• Insert a flash button and specify its properties

• Insert an images and then label an area as a
  hotspot

Adding pages

• If you have only created your home page, you need
  to create some blank pages which will hold other
  information
• Then create links from your home page to these
  pages.
• Remember, each page will need a link back to the
  home page
• Off you go!

Your own buttons to link?

• You can create your own buttons by inserting a
  rollover image
• This is just two images of the same size, which
  you could have created in paint or fireworks
