Christmas - in the tradition of the Christian
feast day of commemoration to the birth of Jesus
Christ. This is the liturgical feast of solid,

on Jan. Christmas is preceded by a four-week

Jest to liturgiczne swieto stale, przypadajace na
25 grudnia, przy czym w kosciolach, które nadal
celebruja liturgie wedlug kalendarza julianskiego
(glównie prawoslawnych), wg kalendarza
gregorianskiego przypada 7 stycznia. Boze
Narodzenie poprzedzone jest okresem
czterotygodniowego oczekiwania, zwanego adwentem.

In the period of the Christmas a white colour is
a liturgical colour. In countries about the
Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant tradition the
first day of the Christmas is a public holiday.

• At some Christian Churches the Christmas is
  starting day earlier. That is of day 24 of
  December- this day is being called the Christmas
  Eve or the Star. On that day he/she is applying

wczesniej. Czyli dnia 24 grudnia- ten dzien jest
nazywany wigilia albo Gwiazdka. W tym dniu
obowiazuje post jakosciowy, a w niektórych
kosciolach scisly. Punktem kulminacyjnym tego
dnia jest uroczysta kolacja, do której zasiada
sie gdy na niebie pojawi sie pierwsza gwiazda- na
pamiatke gwiazdy prowadzacej Trzech Króli do
stajenki.

• When in the sky the first star appears, everyone
  are seating themselves at the table. The oldest
  member of a family is starting saying a prayer.
  Next everyone is taking the wafer, he is sharing
  it with members of the dinner and he is filing
  the best wishes. What everyone are seating
  themselves all over and are eating food.

Gdy na niebie pojawi sie pierwsza gwiazda,
wszyscy zasiadaja do stolu. Najstarszy czlonek
rodziny zaczyna odmawiac modlitwe. Nastepnie
kazdy zabiera oplatek, lamie sie nim z czlonkami
uroczystej kolacji i sklada najserdeczniejsze
zyczenia. Po czym wszyscy zasiadaja i spozywaja
pokarm.

Narodzenie jest obchodzony na pamiatke Narodzenia
Bozego. Jest to wazny dzien.
