Preparation organisation
  • Organisation at the DTU

    programme content, etc.

    matters.
  • Advisory board Peder Klit, Palle Sørensen (Head
    of CDM), Preben Terndrup Pedersen (Head of MEK),
    Leo Alting (Head of IPL).

Meeting goals
  • Follow-up the actions to have been performed in
    the May-October period
  • Finalize beta versions of starter kits
  • Finalize plans for program year 4
  • Assess the review panel recommendations
  • Finalize version 1.0 of the CDIO standards
  • Discuss a CDIO book
  • Plan for program years 5 and 6, including funding
    issues

Specific DTU issues
  • According to previous agreement, time is being
    planned to give the host an opportunity to
    present their organisation, and to present the
    programmes, projects, methods, results,
    facilities (etc) deemed to be of particular
    interest to our guests.
  • Furthermore, the CDIO project and theme leaders
    will give a VIP presentation for the benefit of
    an invited DTU-audience Rector, deans, head of
    departments, and other key persons. The
    presentation will be followed by discussions.
  • According to custom, DTU shall invite to the
    meeting proper (7. 9. Oct.) a somewhat higher
    number of colleagues in order to anchor the
    initiative with a bigger group of people at the
    DTU. The following is suggested up to a max of
    four colleagues at each theme.
  • DTU proposes to have eight students (two for each
    theme group) join, but are standing by on the
    issue until the question about the students mode
    of operating at the meeting is cleared up, see
    slide outstanding questions.

Practicalities
  • Rooms should be booked at the Hotel Eremitage,
    within 15 mins walk of the DTU campus.

  • All rooms should be booked and paid for
    individually.
  • A link to a general hotel reservation homepage
    and tourist informatiom homepage will be
    provided.
  • The plenum room at DTU will accomodate up to 90
    persons, but is also convenient for 40 60.
  • Most workshop rooms will be nearby, some may be 3
    4 mins walk.
  • Wireless LAN with internet access will be
    provided in the plenum room. Access will be
    wireless only.
  • Wireless LAN will be provided in as many of the
    workshop rooms as possible, but this may not be
    all rooms.
  • All lunches will be taken either as working
    lunches in the rooms, or at the Faculty Club next
    door.
  • Photocopying and printing facilities will be
    available.
