• A humanitarian disaster is unfolding in the
  Democratic Republic of Congos North Kivu
  province that is affecting more than 250,000
  people.

• Renewed fighting between rebel and government
  soldiers is claiming civilian lives and forcing
  vast numbers of people to flee their homes.

• Many of these terrified people are without food,
  water and shelter.

Tearfunds response

• Tearfund has launched an emergency appeal to help
  our three Christian partners respond.
• Together they are looking to provide food, water,
  shelter and medical treatment to 15,000 of the
  most vulnerable victims of the conflict.
• They are also offering counselling and spiritual
  support to those who have been traumatised.
