- West Virginia is a U.S. state located in the
Appalachian - region of the Southern United States. It is
bordered by - Virginia to the southeast, Kentucky to the
southwest, - Ohio to the northwest, Pennsylvania to the north,

cities of the state are Huntington, Wheeling,

maples is used to make maple syrup. Sugar maple

years.

considerably in size, from 130 - 500 pounds
(occasionally as much as 700).. They can run
up to 30 mph and are good swimmers.

In West virginia there are about 46 rivers named
in West Virginia. There are also smaller streams
(ie, branches, streams, drains, forks, licks,
