2Internet connectivity is the backbone of modern
business at all levels. The security of all
connected machines is essential to the security
of the enterprise.Encryption alone is not
sufficient to ensure the security of the
connected devices. The weakest link is the user
and the demand to employ only hard, i.e.
difficult to remember, passwords.

3The Channel Wire September 17, 2008 Test Center
ThreatWatch Sept. 17 Attack Watch Sept. 17 The
Test Center's trap network played host to a
flurry of hacking attempts in the last 24 hours
-- including persistent attempts to access our
database. From what we see, it's clear that
continual review of passwords and password
policies still remain top items on network
best-practices lists. Password policy
implementation and associated maintenance is an
expensive and time consuming exercise for the
enterprise. Ultimately it is a futile exercise
given the nature of humans.

4Everybody has a myriad of passwords to remember
and to maintain. This maintenance load
inevitably leads to passwords being less than
robust. Given the power of modern machines and
the size of commonly available network bandwidth
the power and success rate of password attacks
constantly increases. Encryption of passwords,
as currently implemented provides no increase in
password security because the entry system
encrypts the entered password for comparison.

5The German Enigma machine was a theoretically
unbreakable encryption system. It has
been suggested by some of those working on its
cryptanalysis at Bletchley Park that the Enigma
should have been unbreakable in practice had its
operators not been so error-prone,
Wikipedia In the end no system is stronger than
its weakest link.

6The Fifth Fleet PassPro-Tech device provides a
both theoretically and practically unbreakable
password protection system. The PassPro-Tech
device using its patented four factor design
implements the equivalent of a one time pad,
which is the most secure communication technique
possible. During in-depth testing at UTD the
PassPro-Tech device was described as virtually
unbreakable in detailed laboratory testing.

7PassPro-Tech allows the user to employ easy to
remember passwords. User password maintenance is
eliminated with the PassPro-Tech System. Account
password updates and the associated lists and
reviews are no longer necessary. Compromise
of the user password without associated loss of
the PassPro-Tech device does not create a threat
to the system.

8Similarly loss of the PassPro-Tech device without
loss of the username and password does not create
a system compromise or allow unauthorized access
to the protected system. The only way a system
can be compromised with PassPro-Tech would be for
the attacker to simultaneously gain possession
of the PassPro-Tech device, the associated user
password and the actual machine being
attacked. Sniffing attacks, dictionary attacks
and man-in-the middle attacks are effectively
eliminated by PassPro-Tech.

9The Four Factors Allows use of a simple, easy
to remember keyboard-entered password for ultra
secure authentication. (Factor 1) Physically
divides passwords into multiple segments and
transmits each segment in a different packet. The
system modulates the inter-packet timing at level
2 in a manner that is compatible with all
operating systems. (Factor 2) Requires
corporate servers to control and alter data
packet content to create one-time use only
passwords for each and every client logon event.
(Factor 3) Employs an unalterable
firmware-mediated hardware switch in a micro
device or keyboard button to electrically isolate
the clients memory chip. (Factor 4)

11Only the PassPro-Tech system can implement the
Single Sign On concept of having
one, absolutely secure password for an
unlimited number of secure systems. With a
single PassPro-Tech device any user can securely
and confidently logon on to any system which
employs PassPro-Tech services. This means that
the spiral notebooks filled with passwords and
usernames will become a thing of the past.

isnt it about time that our most critical
appliance was also protected by a key?
