Course principles

• The State Safety Programme (SSP) provides
• a platform for States to apply safety management
  principles, such as safety risk management (SRM)
  and safety assurance (SA), to the discharge of
  their safety responsibilities
• a structural framework that allows the State
  safety oversight authority and service providers
  to interact more effectively in the resolution of
  safety concerns
• The SSP is also the enabler for the application
  of safety management principles across the
  different State civil aviation organizations

Course goals

• The goals of the ICAO State Safety Programme
  (SSP) implementation course are to
• develop participants knowledge on the Standards
  and Recommended Practices (SARPs) related to the
  SSP, the ICAO SSP framework, its components and
  elements, and related guidance material
• provide practical guidance on the implementation
  of the key elements of an SSP, which include a
  States regulation for an SSP, the establishment
  of acceptable levels of safety (ALoS), and an SSP
  implementation plan

• Daily progress evaluation
• A final evaluation test of one hour duration will
  be administered on the last day of the course
• The evaluation test includes twenty (20)
  questions of multiple choice answers
• Minimum pass mark 70

  fundamentals of the implementation of an SSP
• Verify that participants have understood the
