PRESENTATION OF RECYC-QUÉBEC
The Société québécoise de récupération et de
recyclage (RECYC-QUÉBEC) was created in 1990. It
reports directly to Québec's Minister of
Environment. The mission is to promote, develop
and foster the reduction, re-use, recovery and
recycling of containers, packaging, materials or
products and their valorization with a view to
conserving resources.

• The role of RECYC-QUEBEC is to manage the overall
  integrated management program of scarp tires

2001-2008 Program for Emptying of Scrap Tire
Storage Sites in Quebec

• Results
• The emptying of small storage sites throughout
  the Province
• - Since 2001, 1,3 million tires from 485 sites
  are removed
• - This year, 140,000 tires from about 150 sites
  will be
• removed
• The emptying of large storage sites throughout
  the Province
• - 12 large tire storage sites (more than 50,000
  tires)
• - 5 have been emptied
• - Two more should be emptied by the end of the
  year
• Since 2001, we have removed more than 10 million
  tires
• from larger sites

and plastic at temperatures of 370F before

and has been tested for Electro-plus and meets
their criteria and is now being distributed to
their sales office)
