JISC's Vision

• ...a vision for 2010 in which a high percentage
  of newly published UK scholarly output is made
  available on an open access basis and in which
  there is a growing recognition of the benefits of
  making research data, learning resources and
  other academic content freely available for
  sharing and re- use. (Digital Repositories

Our Vision

• The University is committed to developing a set
  of repository services that will allow members of
  the academic community to develop content on a
  personal, departmental and institutional basis,
  and to manage that content so that it can not
  only be easily retrieved but made available to
  the wider HE community.

Virtual Studio

• A one-year pilot project in the School of
  Architecture
• The University of Lincoln has won funding from
  JISC to lay the groundwork for the establishment
  of an institutional repository that will support
  a wide variety of non textual materials.
• Will result in an advanced repository design
  capable of managing complex digital objects. Not
  just text, but images, video, audio, animation,
  etc.
