The Ministry of Infrastructure has contracted
Ecosfera S.p.A. for providing technical
assistance and support services to the Division
in charge of managing the Italian NFP.

WORKING METHODOLOGY

• Selection and collection of suitable best
  practices
• desk analysis
• survey by topics
• Interviews
• assessment actions
• Mapping out good practices
• collection of documents
• drawing up of the selected best practices
  templates
• involvement of stakeholders through animation
  activities and dissemination over the territory
  (conferences, meetings).

MAIN ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT

• Strengthening and improvement of the Italian NFP
  (for the current year the Ministry committed
  152.760 EUR in its yearly budget)
• Implementation of the Italian NFP and working
  plan to promote the further activities
• Mapping of Italian good practices according to
  the EUKN typologies of templates
• Collection of Italian good practices on
  integrated urban development in deprived areas
• Selection, drafting and submission of good
  practices related to the EUKN topics

MAIN RESULTS ACHIEVED

• 8 templates have already been uploaded in the
  EUKN website
• 5 Italian case studies for the German BBR
  Research have been provided
• 3 Italian case studies for the German BBR
  Research have been selected
• Check of the translation of the new EUKN
  brochure
• Translation of thesaurus and taxonomy

NEXT STEPS

• Strengthening the involvement of Italy in EUKN
  project
• Implementation of the Italian NFP
• Strengthening the involvement of public and
  private partners and of any other institution
  that could be identified as stakeholder
  (Universities, research institutes, local,
  regional and central authorities, cities networks
  etc.) at local level
• Organization of events (e.g. conferences and
  meetings)
• Improvement of the EUKN website through provision
  of templates and knowledge documents
