  school

• Alcohol, smoking, drugs are one of the most
  important problems in our society.
• Besides, this problem is growing.
• It includes young people, especially teenagers.
• Narcotics materials affect our lives, affect
  communication in the family, bring on a lot of
  diseases.

• According to Narcotics check department, in
  Lithuania there are about 8,2 per cents people,
  who tried drugs in their life.
• But between students and nightspot visitors, this
  fact is bigger. (31 of students and 34
  nightspot visitors)

• In Lithuania, there are 31.2 per cents students
  who tried hashish, 6 per cents - ecstasy,
  amphetamine, 1.4 per cents LSD, 2.4 per cents
  cocaine, though once time in their life.
• But by ecstasy using, in all Europe, Lithuania
  occupy the fifth place from underhand.
• The same situation is with hemp, Lithuania is one
  of the least countries in all Europe( 5 per
  cents, when in Spain it is more than 20 per cents
  )

• In Europe every year die about 7-8 thousands of
  people, who overdose.
• In 2007, in Lithuania there was 74 cases, 75 per
  cents of them are poisoning opiates.
• As we see using the results of research, in
  Lithuania drugs problem exists, but it is not so
  big like in other European countries.

• In 2007 in our school there was a research
  Narcotic materials incident in Ariogala
  Gymnasium. There were taking part 485 students.
• 220 in 5-8 forms
• 146 in 9-10 forms
• 119 in 11-12 forms
• The point of this inquest was to explore
  addiction between our school students.

• 52 of exploratory tried smoking. 16 of them
  tried smoking when they were 14 years, 14 - 10
  years.
• 92 of exploratory is not smoking now, only 3
  is smoking and 5 - smoke sometimes.
• 82 of exploratory tried alcohol.
• Now alcohol use only 8 , 49 - drink
  sometimes, 43 - dont drink anything.
• 96 of exploratory hasnt used drugs, 2 - has
  used drugs some times ir 2 - used only once.
• 49 drank and smoked from curiosity, 17 - wanted
  to relax, 7 - wanted to forget their problems, o
  2 were forced to try.

• In our school narcotics materials exist. So to
  fight with this, there are a lot of events, class
  jiffies and actions. For example in 2006 there
  was the event Dont hurry to live. In this
  event we talked about narcotic materials damage,
  encouraged not to try everything in our life a
  tone.

• Our future plans are to organise the new event
  against smoking, drugs and alcohol, which would
  involve all community of our school. The future
  school have to be without narcotics, so all
  students and teachers have to help to realize
  this vision. ?
