WHAT IS A WORK OBJECTIVE?
  • A direct link between the work the employee
    performs and the faculty/unit/departments
    operational plan (priorities)
  • Mutually understood agreement about a work
    outcome that a staff member is expected to
    achieve during the cycle.

WHY SET WORK OBJECTIVES?
  • Allows you to understand where your role fits
    into the University and what your responbilities
    are
  • To gain a better understanding of the value and
    contributions you bring to the University

    priorities and outcomes to be achieved for the
    faculty/unit

    position
  • Draft specific work objectives and what outcomes
    are to be achieved.
