8The British painter Jonathan Hynd has been living
and working in Rome for the past 17 years. His
work develops in a similar way to that of the
city in which he has chosen to live. By
maintaining all the topical events within this
destroying and rebuilding process, Hynd creates a
dense narrative surface in his works.
9Archaeological research would be needed to peel
back the many layers of his work. The moment of
departure, that is to say the cardboard that he
often uses as a support, can now only faintly be
perceived Time seems to have materialized.
