International mobility is a global phenomenon in
education, which contributes changes in learning.
  • Because the world is globalized, education is one
    of the most influenced sectors
  • As a consequence, there are changes in the
    organization and objectives of educational
institutions, in which the structures and
management find fertile ground to develop
    themselves

Student international mobility is

studies abroad, in respect to 1999, according to
the figures reported by UNESCO in its Global
Education digest 2006. Montreal
  • MOST OF THIS GROWTH IS BECAUSE OF THE HIGHER

Below are some of the factors
that would explain this increase
  • Business globalization and management techniques
  • Rising incomes in developing countries
  • And the efforts to harmonize the structure of
    degrees and their international recognition

  • International student mobility is a factor that
has a substantial economic impact in the host
    countries.
  • The USA,UK and GERMANY together make up more than
half of the international student mobility

  • These countries know what they are doing, and
    they position themselves for the
    internationalization of their universities,
    mainly Business Administration Schools

ACCORDING TO FIGURES FROM THE IIE 2007(Institue
for International Education) 17.8 OF
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS CARRIED OUT MANAGEMENT
STUDIES.
  • The majority of these students pay all their fees
themselves, in contrast to Spanish students,
that rely on programs and grants or available
    financing

THE OPPORTUNITIES ARISING FROM INCREASING
INTERNATIONAL MOVILITY ARE OBVIOUS
  • BEING ABLE TO ANSWER WITH QUALITY PROGRAMS AND
KEEP BEING COMPETITIVE IN TIME, DEMANDS
INVESTMENT IN A GLOBAL WORLD, IN WHICH ITS OWN
    TALENT IS NOT ENOUGH.
