The Spinning Club (SC)

• a trans-regional cluster of new ventures

• Spinning Club Members represent the end users
  of schemes and tools already existing at local
  level.
• They act as a panel of reference validating
  the SCONE project building activities and the
  transferability of good practices identified by
  SCONE Members in their local environments.

• CRITERIA for SC members selection
• 1) SMEs, entrepreneurs and/or researchers
• 2) already experienced within the region tools
  and schemes for knowledge valorisation and
  company creation
• 3) they should be innovative, fast growing and
  familiar with EU programmes.

The SCONE Network assists Spinning Club Members
to access new markets for products and services,
and find international partners and customers.

Activities so
far Spinning Club Members met each other for
the first time at the 3rd Plenary Meeting of the
Scone project, that has been held in Huelva at
the beginning of April 2003.

• In depth analysis of knowledge valorisation tools
  and schemes available in each Members region
• Express specific interest in Co-operation Lines
  and project building activities

• Investor readiness session, with a practical
  exercise using an interactive multi-media tool
• First discussion on company size, stage of
  development, turnover, products, services and
  investment usually required from public and
  private investors.
