Project Teams

• 2 to 4 persons per team
• Each team is expected to elect a team leader
• Each team leader evaluates the team members, via
  private email to the instructor.
• Each team member does the same for the team
  leader.

• Overriding criteria
• the system must work
• the work must be substantial as a term project
• the work must be original
• Factors for consideration (in order of
  importance)
• Substance
• system quality (documentation, demo)
• system design (documentation)
• originality/novelty (documentation, demo)
• Peer evaluation (private email)
• Demos must be done on Box.

• Necessarily subjective
• Expectation independent of team size

• Robustness (e.g. error handling, flexibility in
  input formatting)
• Scalability
• Efficiency
• User Interface
• Security measures (if applicable)

• Overall good system design documentation
• Software architecture (client/server)
• Security measures
• Use of components for business rules and data
  access logic
• Rationale (component-based design, balance
  between client-side and server-side computing)

• Necessarily subjective
• Unusual applications (run-of-mill e-retailer
  systems are NOT considered unusual applications)
• Innovative features

• Last day of class
• Demo begins in 13th Week (week of April 3rd)
• Bonus for demo in 12th week (week of March 29)
