• During the period known as the Epiclassic (A.D.
  650-900) for 250 years of the life of Xochicalco,
  innovations arose that were inherited by
  Postclassic cultures, such as the use of all
  sorts of building materials and the development
  of construction systems. Because of its location
  that was situated in the middle of the Pacific
  Ocean and the Mexican Gulf. Xochicalco was
  considered a cultural and commercial interchange
  place.
