WHO ARE WE?
  • APSA (ASSOCIATION PRO-INTELLECTUAL DISEASE PEOPLE
    OF ALICANTE) is a private and NGO without spirit
    of profit declared of Public Utility in 1970.
    From 1962 we work to improve the quality of life
    of the people with intellectual disease and their
    environment of the province of Alicante.

OUR MISSIÓN
  • At the present time, APSA serves direct to more
    than 1,200 people. Our objective is to provide
    the best possible attention throughout its vital
    cycle to them to increase its quality of life and
    to develop to the maximum its autonomy.

Center of Professional Formation (Camí Obert)
  • Its main activity is to form the pupils like
    adult young people, affecting its multipurpose
    preparation for the occupational or labor world
    specially. It takes care of young people between
    16 and 25 years.
  • It develops its activity in the educative
    complex Monte Tossal de Alicante. It is the
    center responsible for Self-trainning, Women and
    Diseable programs

Center of Laboral Orientation (COFAL)
  • From 1999 its objective is sociolaboral
    integration, by means of the formation and the
    attainment of a stable job, also develops the
    labor pursuit of the workers.
  • In the last three years the COFAL has obtained
    over 100 jobs (created jobs).

The use S.E.C. is born with the objective to
create, to promote and to maintain jobs for
diseable people, whose aptitudes recommend the
beginning of a repaid professional work. Our
Special Employment Centers are LIMENCOP,
S.L TERRAMAR, S.A. AVIMAR, S.L.

CONSECUTION OF TARGETS
Constant update of the work tools.
Modernization and new investments (To be more

of two different and distant worlds (Disease
versus New Technologies). Necessity of
self-sufficiency to work and to live on the
generated own resources, to feed-back ourselves ,
to become less dependence of the Public
Administration, to reach a greater autonomy level
and to unload to the Public Authorities of loads
so that the resources to other actions can be
destined. Economic and financial
consolidation of the different sections from
Limencop, each one has matured to its own rate
and rithym. High percentage of success in the
matter of labor integration of people with
disease. Hight Quality, Stable and Valued
Employment (Internally and externally
valued), Sustainable. (It maximizes the curve of
learning of our clients)

  • HOW IS OBTAINED THE LABOR INTEGRATION OF PEOPLE
    WITH DISCAPACIDAD?
  • It does not exist a magical formula for this
    assignment but guidelines that the C.E.E.
    LIMENCOP considers necessary to obtain a greater
    percentage of success in the matter of
    integration.

HUMAN RESOURCES PERSONNEL FIT
This added service tries to give answer to the
necessities of all type, personnel, social and
labor and coverall those that, of direct or
indirect way repel within the labor area. Aspects
of this type are the punctuality, responsibility,
effectiveness, quality, control on employee
absenteeism and the non adaptative conducts.

It is not necessary to avoid that to maintain a
job it implies for the certain worker effort and
attitudes that sometimes cost to maintain.
Sometimes, either by the deterioration of the own
disease, diseases associated, or by the situation
to social or family, maybe means, make difficult
the attainment of a finished work. It is at this
moment where the intervention of the figures of
the one in charge and the technician of support
of the Special Employ Center requires their
special attention. One of the aspects that
contribute to make possible the labor integration
of diseable people and the maintenance in the job
is to obtain the greater possible adaptation of
the job, to the profile of the person who covers
it, studying the circumstances of the labor
surroundings, as well as the physical and
emotional characteristics of the worker, to know
if the conditions in which they work are adapted
to them and if there is form to improve them,
affecting a possible rejection or low efficiency.

Coordination with different professionals from
the Health area and in the matter of prevention
of labor risks informing to them into the labor
situation of some workers to lend the due
advising to employers and workers in aspects of
labor ergonomics and treatment of deficits, etc.
A suitable quality and labor satisfaction by
the workers contribute to maintain a personal
stability that it is translated in a good task in
the daily workings of work . The obtained
results of this analysis through individualized
interviews and questionnaire indicate, in a high
percentage, that the worker values the level of
reached integration, generating future
expectations, with a labor guarantee ahead, a
satisfactory level of self-esteem motivating
their personal and social growth, growing their
interests to form in complementary activities and
spending of optimal way their time of leisure.
In this way, and from the commitment of a
customized intervention the individualized
itineraries are elaborated, to give the possible
most precise direction to each individual case.
This way, the possibilities of getting to an
ordinary job for workers who have been preparing
themselves in a protected labor ambient after a
period of time working in a Special Center
increases. That also means that it is necessary
to be always forming people who are replacing
that they obtain an ordinary job.

CLEANING AREA
  • It is composed by 49 workers of who 45 are
    Diseable. The main part of this activity takes
    place in the University of Alicante, covering the
    cleaning of the buildings of Social Sciences,
    Polytechnical IV, Museum of the Music and
    Library, as well as in the City councils and
    Institutional buildings of different places.
  • We also do the following works
  • Maintenance of colectivity.
  • Ground treatment and maintenance.
  • floor polish
  • Disinfections.
  • Rat controls.
  • Decontamination and Control of Plagues.

We do the daily management of more than 25,000
square meters

BOOKS BINDERY AREA
The bindding section is composed by 6 workers. 5
of them are Diseable workers. This section do the
following tasks

REPROGRAPHICS AND GRAPHIC ARTS
  • This section is composed by 28 workers, all of
    them are Diseable.
  • Their main activity takes place at the
    University Miguel Hernandez and the University of
    Alicante, within 4 Printing and Copy Center
    shops.
  • In addition to the Reprographics services
    itself, LIMENCOP has developed its own computer
    program what we called LIMENGESTIÓN, that acts
    like an assistant of Virtual Reprographic works.
    It is a concept of Reprographics different from
    the traditional and when we started it was
    pioneer in Spain.
  • LIMENGESTIÓN allows to receive the works by
    Network and automatically to send documents on
    the printers, which eliminates the agglomerations
    and tails in a center of these characteristics,
    so that the students just go, pay and pick-up
    their lessons.
  • LIMENGESTIÓN is exclusively centered in the
    Quality of the service, providing to the user a
    greater agility in the orders.
  • LIMENGESTIÓN has allowed to approach two
    completely different worlds like are the one of
    the New Technologies with the world of the
    Disease, that has made integration possible of a
    great number of diseable people in the labor
    world.
