Hanging bridges detailed description Selvatura's
Treetop Walkways is a 1.9 mile trail that winds
amidst the Cloud Forest, in which visitors will
walk across eight different bridges of various
lengths ranging between 150 feet and 510 with
altitudes ranging between 36 feet up to 180 feet
above the forest and small rivers. Each of the
bridges feature a five foot width, the widest
ones in the country, and also a capacity of up to
80 people per bridge, making them both the
longest and strongest bridge system in Costa
Rica. The treetop walkways are suitable for
people of all ages and physical condition. The
duration of the tour is usually between 1.5 and 2
hours. Between each bridge you walk and explore
the forest at ground level on trails that are
well maintained.

this tour you have the opportunity to enjoy the
cloud forest from eye level to bird level. One
advantage of the suspended bridges is that you
will be able to see up close, the variety of
vegetation that lives in harmony on the trees who
serve as "hosts" for numerous orchids,
bromeliads, ferns, moss and vines. By having the
opportunity to be so close to these host trees
you can experience close-up, the amazing
biodiversity and understand how the Cloud Forest
truly is co-dependent. In addition to the
pleasure of walking through the forest the
hanging bridges give you a special insight into
how the forest works.
