• South Carolina secedes, or breaks away from the
  US anyway
• John Crittenden proposes a last compromise
  slavery not touched south of 36 degrees
• Repubs dont go for it, Texas, Louisiana, Miss.,
  Alabama, Georgia, and Florida also secede
