• Are the dominant group of organisms on land
  based on weight
• Some have tissues that bring water and nutrients
  to all parts of the plant (xylem and phloem)
• Have many adaptations for life on land cuticle,
  stomata, reproduction (seeds and spores)
• Common physical characteristics to all plants
• photosynthetic, mulitcellular, sexually
  reproducing, eukaryotic

  despite their different physical characteristics

• Small in size because they take in water and
  nutrients through their cells
• Large seeds
• Require water to transport seeds for reproduction

  photosynthesize, they are the beginning of the
  food chain.
• Humans benefit from plants in the same way
  animals do. Humans have been growing plants for
  food for thousands of years.
