2A Flower
The problem was that she could never enjoy all of
these blessings. Her work took up most of her
time and caused her life to suffer in other
areas. If a problem arose at work, she would have
to leave her children, if she had to work late,
she would put her husband aside. The people that
she loved were always left behind when something
else came up.
There once was a wealthy young woman who had it
all a marvelous husband, perfect children, a
high-paying job, and a strong family.
3This continued until one day when the young
womans father gave her a present it was an
extremely rare, unique and expensive flower. Her
father said
This flower will help you more than you can
imagine. You only need to water and trim it once
in a while, occasionally spend some time talking
to it, and it will give you the most wonderful
perfume and the most beautiful flowers.
4The young lady was struck by the flower, which
was of unequaled beauty and she was grateful to
her father. As time passed and day-to-day
problems accumulated, work consumed all of the
young ladys time and her life continued to
suffer, she could not care for the rose.
She would get home and the flower would be there.
The flower did not show any sign of frailty,
always beautiful and emitting its wonderful
aroma. She would pass by the flower without
giving it a second thought.
5Then, one day, without warning the flower died.
The young lady got home and was startled by the
sight of the dead flower. Its roots were parched,
the flowers were wilted and its leaves were
yellowed. The young lady began to cry and then
called her father to tell him what had happened.
6Her father said I thought that this would
happen, but I cant give you another flower
because that one was unique, just like your
children, your husband, and your family.
They are all blessings that the Lord has given to
you but you have to learn to water them, trim
them, and give them attention because, much like
the flower, their feelings also die. You became
used to seeing the flower alive, vibrant, and
aromatic, and your forgot to take care of it.
Take care of the people that you love!
7And you? Do you take care of the blessings that
God has given you? Take care of your flowers
because they are Gods blessings to you. He gives
them to us and we must nurture those
blessings. Send this message to your
friends, to those who have special meaning in
your life. If you dont send it, dont worry. You
will only have missed an opportunity to let
someone in your life know that they are one of
your flowers, special and unique in your life.
