university in Lleida, integrated by 10.000 people
(students and teachers). Since 1992 it has an
interdisciplinary seminar for working in Gender
Equal Opportunities. - Diputació de Lleida (Patronat de Promoció
Econòmica, PPE) - Public organism, integrated by different nearby
administrations for creating, managing and
promoting new employment politics. - - Unió de Pagesos de Catalunya (UP) main Catalan
agricultural trade union. 10.000 affiliates, 600
of them women entrepreneurs. Works in equal
opportunities in rural areas.

(JARC) agricultural trade union, widely settled
in the northern part of Catalonia. - - Centre de Desenvolupament Rural de Catalunya
(CEDRICAT) the only rural development centre in
Catalonia. Works executing European found
management. - - Actel, SCCL fruit second grade cooperative,
integrated by more than 130 small first grade
cooperatives. More than 15.000 families involved.
Commercializes fruit and cereal, offering
products and services for developing agricultural
activity. - Agroles, SCL the most important oil and dry
fruit cooperative in Lleida groups 43 first
grade cooperatives. - COTECNICA, SCCL second grade cooperative, groups
15 livestock first grade cooperatives. - Fruits de Ponent, SCCL fruit commercializing
second grade cooperative, integrated by 6 first
grade cooperatives (560 members). - Transalfals la Vispesa, SCL second grade
cooperative, dedicated to alfalfa spreading,
cultivation and processing. Groups 11 first grade
cooperatives, 3461 members.
5GENERAL OBJECTIVE
Apply an innovative program of global action on
the discriminatory elements that influence equal
opportunities in the rural area of actuation of
the DP (Lleida). Reduce the inequalities between
men and women and avoid the desegregation in
labour market, being complementary with other
general politics applied in the territory.
6SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
- Work on those productive sectors in rural areas
with real possibilities of women integration,
such as agricultural and tertiary sector
(handcraft, agroturism) - Work on the main agro-alimentary industry of
Lleida, starting up a demonstrative and
transferable process of integration (gender Equal
Opportunities) in organization management, either
by providing instruments or by implementing
specific action plans. Other pilot actions will
also be implemented in other industrial sectors. - Improving the curriculum of rural women. Among
others, applying the new European homogenised
system EUROPASS (a pilot action of implementation
is foreseen). - Work in mountain areas, planning development
actions for scattered beneficiaries, often
excluded from structural changes for improvement
and integration. - Develop pilot programs on rural administrations
for introducing gender equal opportunities in
women managed and promoted industries.
7TARGET GROUPS
- It is foreseen a total of 2.000 beneficiaries
(web diffusion of materials) - 85 women (including rural immigrant women)
- 15 men
8ACTUATIONS
The project is divided in 8 action blocks that
