This story is about a boy named Bud. In the story
he spends about four years in a foster home.
Finally he gets tired of the people he was
staying with so he ran away from a family called
the Amos's house and tries to find his so called
(father.)

Theme

• I would try to never lie to an adult if I were in
  the same position as Bud was in.
• After a while Herman E. Calloway began to trust
  Bud a lot more then youd have expected him to.
• Im not sure what he did other than stay out the
  way to make Herman trust him.
• I think Bud learnt that you have to earn trust
  from somebody you barley even know.

Plot!

• Bud got stuck with the Amoss and got beat up all
  in one night.
• Bud had to go to the shed in the backyard and
  sleep there for a night then the next morning
  they were going to call the Group Home.
• Bud got out of the shed, ran away and slept under
  the trees in front of the library for the night.
• The next morning Bud got up later then he thought
  he wouldve so Bud ran down to the mission as
  fast as he could and still didnt get there in
  time.
• Bud found a ride to Grand Rapids in the middle of
  the night at 200a.m. in Owosso Michigan.

One day Bud was in the line to get some
breakfast at the home. He was so close to the
front of the line, and he got pulled out by a
coworker there. The coworker told Bud and another
littler boy they were going to a foster family
for a while. Bud was going to a family with the
last name of Amoss. The Amoss were so mean to
Bud they put him in a shed for sticking up for
himself. So Bud ran away.

• Miss. Edna, the kind of person that makes a
  difference in peoples lives especially Buds life.
  Nice outgoing person w/ a great attitude towards
  Bud. She wears a lot of rings very beautiful
  person.
• Herman E. Calloway, mean w/ a horrible attitude
  towards Bud. Not nice, grey hair , wrinkles.
• Bud, the person who cant tell right from wrong
  sometimes and hadnt the slightest clue who and
  or where his dad was ,also funny. Bud looks poor
  and like his is starving to death scratches all
  over his face ,and legs.

• 1.I jumped to the floor and got my fists up.
  Fists are your hands balled up in a ball like
  shape so that show that Bud wants to hit
  somebody. The hand clenched with the fingers
  doubled into the palm and the thumb doubled
  inward across the fingers.
• 2.Any fool you see walking down the street could
  be them. A fool is a person in judgment or
  prudence. It means a person that doesnt seem
  very bright as much as the other people do.
• 3.He looked disappointed. Defeated in expectation
  or hope. Somebody is upset so they are
  disappointed.
• 4.This knife is genuine solid twenty-four karat
  silver. Genuine meansActually produced by or
  proceeding from the alleged source or author.
  Genuine means something special in the case of
  the sentence is telling us.
• 5.I put the flyers back in my suitcase and stood
  up. Suitcase meansa bag or case carried by hand
  and designed to hold a travelers clothing and
  personal articles.

• The population for today in Grand Rapids is
  197,800.
• The first white man ever to live there was Isaac
  McCoy.
• Isaac McCoy arived at Grand Rapids in 1925.

• 1.Bud is like a rabbit.
• 2.Bud is like sad just about in all of the book
  because his mom died.
• 3.Bud has the best sense of humor in the whole
  entire book!
• 4.Bud should be a hero for everybody that knows
  what Bud went through and is going through now.
