Characters

• Bud He is an orphan and lives in a orphanage
  since his Momma died when he was six. He got
  adopted but ran away the morning after he got
  adopted because they made him sleep in a shed
  with a hornets nest in it. Bud was ten years old.
• Herman E Calloway He plays the bass in his band.
  Bud thought he was is Daddy because his Momma
  brought home fliers with Herman E Calloway and
  his band on it.
• Steady Eddie He is in Hermans band (Sax
  player.)
• Miss Thomas Singer of Hermans band.
• The Thug Drummer of the band.
• Doo-doo Bug Trombone player of the band.
• Dirty Deed He is also in the band (dont know
  what instrument.)
• Mr. Jimmy Best friend of Herman's and also in
  Hermans band (dont know what instrument.)

Settings

• The year is 1936 in Flint and Grand Rapids
  Michigan.
• The Amos's house.
• The library.
• Hooverville.
• The Sweat Pea.
• The Home (orphan place.)
• The grand Calloway station.
• The log cabin (club.)
• The Amos's shed.

Problem (s)

• Bud Is at the Amos's house and gets in a fight
  with Todd Amos and gets locked in there shed
  because of the fight.
• Bud is going to jump a train to go west but he
  misses the train just barely.
• Buds mother dies 4 years earlier and so he his
  motherless so he is out looking for his Daddy and
  he has nowhere to live.
• Herman doesnt think Bud is any part of his
  family so Bud keeps on trying to persuade Herman
  that he is.

Solution

• Bud runs away from the Amos's house.
• He goes to the trees next to the library and
  sleeps there.
• Bud decides to go to Grand Rapids because he is
  going to try and find Herman E. Calloway who he
  thinks is his Daddy.
• Bud finds out how to get to Grand Rapids.
• He goes to the library and finds a book that says
  the distance of a city to a city.
• Bud decides to walk to Grand Rapids. In Owosso
  Mi. at 230 in the morning and a car runs by and
  stops offers Bud something to eat and a ride.
• Then next morning Bud wakes up and has breakfast
  and the person who finds him in Owosso gives him
  a ride all the way to Grand Rapids.
• Bud finds Herman in a club called The Log Cabin.
• Herman asks bud what his mothers name was and Bud
  said Angela Janet Calloway which was Hermans
  daughter. Which makes Herman Buds grandfather.
• So Herman ran to his room and cried. Bud showed
  proof that She was his Momma by a picture.
• I dont know what happened to Bud but I know
  there is a 2nd book.
