Vision
Transform the regions workforce to meet the STEM
needs of 21st Century industries, such as
defense, homeland security, military
preparedness, health care, construction, social
services, and information technologies.

Initial Actions
  • Established the All American Center for Workforce
    Innovation at FTCC
  • Provided portable i3D systems for 7 community
    colleges
  • Funded 11 portable i3D systems - for one pilot
    high school in each county (Golden LEAF grant)
  • Installing 11 fixed i3D enhanced technology
    classrooms in all eleven counties (NC DOC ARRA
    stimulus grant)
