According To...
  • According to The manager of Project Rainbow,
Susannah Cripe, and a volunteer and activities
coordinator Kim Whisman. Not enough assistance is
being provided around the community for the
disabled. There is a lack of employees, and
volunteers at these types of organizations. This
is mainly because assisting handicap patients can
be a emotional and physical roller coaster. We
need to come together as a community, and all
work together. It will make a difference in
everyones lives. The ones being assisted, and
    the ones assisting.

6
Interview
  • According to Susannah Cripe manager of Project
Rainbow at Easter Seals and Kim Whisman a
volunteer and activities coordinator at Easter
Seals both agree that many organizations face a
shortage in employees and volunteers, and a lack
of community support. Kim states that not many
people are up to the job because they cant
    handle it emotionally, or physically.

7
Conclusion
  • All in all many people in the community are
effected whether it is the patient who is
suffering from the handicap or whether it is just
somebody who takes care of them on a daily basis.
Others helping others grow. Thats the key to a
    nurturing environment.

  • A student survey was conducted by Chelbe Whisman,
with forty-two Riverview High School students, to

In conclusion...
  • Being handicap is a day to day struggle that
certain individuals have to live with. They
individuals have to accept it, and so do their
surroundings. Any individual who has suffered
from a disability or who has lived with a loved
one suffering such a condition can feel
compassion for them. The people need to make a
stand and remember the important things in life.
Not the importance of materialistic. The
importance is that we are all humans and there
are going to be imperfections. We need to help
each other not hurt. In the long run, that is
what is going to be the most full-filling in life.
