- Created in a partcioative way with at least 120
local leaders in 4 areas of the river basin - 36 municipalities of the river basin were
involved - 40 media os hoy replican CC
- The regional media used in the campaign reach at
least 1 million people. - The main goal to change mentalities and
attitudes toward a prevention one
- Regional Decree in Piura
- Consider the results and findings of the studies
in the regional strategical planning process - First step toward the generation of regional
strategies of adaptation taking into account the
info of the studies
4Mantaro Campaign
Designed to generate a lot of interest in a short
time in the population and in the media.
Supported by an agressive press campaign with the
information obtained from the vulnerability
studies done in the Mantaro river basin.
Orientated to involve and demand action from the
Regional Government

- The Regional Government sign a regional law
considering the formation of a technical group of
CC to - CC prioritized issues considered for adaptation.
