TODAY Triumph in Christ 2 Corinthians 2
3Through redemption and adherence to Gods Word,
we can find victory in Christ.
42 Corinthians 25-11
- 5But if anyone has caused grief, he has not
grieved me, but all of you to some extent--not to
be too severe. 6This punishment which was
inflicted by the majority is sufficient for such
a man, 7so that, on the contrary, you ought
rather to forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps
such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow.
8Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to
him.
52 Corinthians 25-11, cont.
- 9For to this end I also wrote, that I might put
you to the test, whether you are obedient in all
things. 10Now whom you forgive anything, I also
forgive. For if indeed I have forgiven anything,
I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the
presence of Christ, 11lest Satan should take
advantage of us for we are not ignorant of his
devices.
6- Paul wrote with affliction and anguish of heart
at their lack of repentance.

8- The point of church discipline is to save a soul
from death. - The fragrance of victory that emanates from
Christs body draws people to it.
9- 1. What is Gods plan for church discipline?
- 2. What excuses might congregations give for
failing to obey Gods command for church
discipline? - 3. Why is it important that the entire
congregation withdraw fellowship from the
offender? - 4. What do we learn from Pauls passionate love
for the brethren at Corinth?
10- 5. In 2 Corinthians 210,11, Paul says we must
not give Satan an advantage. How can we do that
in our congregations? - 6. Why is disunity so damaging to the cause of
Christ?
11Find someone you know is struggling spiritually
and encourage them by praying with them and
listening to their challenges.
