• He received his M.D. degree from Damascus
  University in 2000, during which he also
  underwent several clinical clerkships at
  prestigious medical centers in the U.S. and
  received honors and scholarships from Harvard
  Medical School, Northwestern University, and Mayo
  Clinic.

He completed his MPH degree in Epidemiology and
Biostatistics at the George Washington University
(GWU) in 2004 and assumed several positions in
Cancer Epidemiology at GWU, Georgetown
University, US Military Cancer Institute, and
D.C. Department of Health. He contributed to the
work of several publications in peer reviewed
journals in cancer prevention and epidemiology.
Along that passion, he completed one year of
training in Nuclear Medicine a field that
focuses on cancer imaging - at Stanford
University.
